I picked it up from a high grade collection I recently bought (estate sale). The collector dug and prepared the specimen himself.

Name : Phragmoteuthis conocauda
Age : Lower Jurassic, Toarcian stage
Findspot : Holzmaden , Germany

The slab measures 20.5 x 9 cm. This is a rare squid . Note the slab is not glued , but the squid may have been reglued.
