Outstanding quality !!

Name : Diplomystus dentatus
Age : Eocene , Green River formation
Location : Kemmerer, Wyoming , USA

This fish itself has a size of 49.5 cm which is rare for this kind of species and is well centered onto a 58 x 35.5 cm limestone slab.

This fossil fish has been prepared into the Lithologia workshop. It has not just being sandblasted ( this removes all the fine details such as fin or tail tops wich are then painted ) , it has been skillfully cleaned under magnification .All is original , this includes the tail tips and fins. Some color has been added at very few places for coloring few missing scales and fin rays .
The slab had some cracks that have been filled .Due to it's fragility it has been backed with resin and stable plywood. That make it very solid
